Innovative and Unified Science Textbook Cover Design for Enhanced Student Engagement

The "Science Stories in Daily Life" textbook series by the Mirae-N Design Team redefines the visual and educational experience of high school science education. Developed in Seoul and scheduled for classroom adoption in March 2025, the series covers a comprehensive range of scientific fields, including physics, chemistry, life sciences, earth sciences, and more. Each cover is thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique content of its subject while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across the series.

What distinguishes this series is its use of original, imaginative illustrations and playful details, which break away from traditional textbook aesthetics. The design team employed vibrant colors, graphic connectivity, and post-processing techniques like holograms to highlight the characteristics of each scientific discipline. This approach not only enhances the visual appeal but also helps students intuitively grasp the subject matter, making science more relatable and enjoyable.

Through extensive research and creative exploration, the Mirae-N Design Team overcame the challenge of unifying diverse scientific subjects while preserving their distinct identities. The result is a set of textbooks that balances consistency and differentiation, allowing students to easily recognize each field's unique qualities. The series' innovative design has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award, underscoring its contribution to improving educational materials and enriching students' learning experiences.
