Shinjiro Heshiki Unveils the Nago Pineapple Park Winery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shinjiro Heshiki presents the Winery of Nago Pineapple Park, a fusion of French Napa winery taste, contemporary Okinawan style, and traditional century design. The monumental pineapple wine brewing machine, standing at 14 meters, is the centerpiece of this winery resort space, symbolizing the new Nago Pineapple Park. Crafted from steel, wood, mosaic tiles, antique glass, and stained glass, this century design is set to last for 100 years.
The Nago Pineapple Park Winery project team, led by Shinjiro Heshiki, aimed to create a space where adults can savor the image, taste, and color of pineapples. The giant wine-making machine, functioning as a wine cellar and a counter lounge for wine tasting and snacks, is strategically placed to be visible from anywhere in the store space.
This groundbreaking project, which commenced in January 2019 and concluded in May 2020, opened its doors in Nago Okinawa in June 2020, despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The winery space is designed to attract a new customer base with its pineapple-based wine and impactful design, setting a new standard for amusement park retail stores.
