Lu Yi Introduces a Seat Inspired by Chinese Rituals, Honored with A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lu Yi's Ceremony stool draws inspiration from Chinese ritual practices, as evidenced in oracle bone inscriptions and early gold inscriptions. The design embodies the etiquette culture, with a focus on treating others with courtesy, as depicted in the Book of Rites. The seat's form language reflects the charm and characteristics of oriental culture, offering a unique and culturally rich seating experience.
Through structural innovation, the Ceremony stool minimizes material usage while enhancing stability and comfort. Utilizing Chinese tenon and mortise joint technology, the seat is meticulously crafted using walnut or black walnut. The digital production process involves CNC carving and manual polishing, resulting in a product that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity.
Measuring 400mm in width, 320mm in depth, and 430mm in height, the Ceremony stool showcases the intricate interplay of mortise tenon, Chinese cultural symbols, and structural ceremony. It provides a functional yet aesthetically pleasing seating solution, inviting users to engage in activities such as tea drinking and conversation.
Lu Yi's innovative approach to design has earned the Ceremony stool the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category. This accolade recognizes the stool's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards, contributing to a better world through its thoughtful craftsmanship and cultural significance.
