Flow: A Fusion of Ancient Chinese Tradition and Modern Elegance

Renowned designer Lu Yi introduces "Flow," a captivating table design inspired by the ancient Chinese QiaoAn. The table's tilted sides, reminiscent of the traditional QiaoAn, prevent objects from falling, while embodying the essence of new Chinese style.

This unique piece seamlessly merges ancient Chinese tradition with modern aesthetics, offering users a distinctive and enriching experience. Crafted from black walnut and brass, "Flow" showcases the artful blend of Oriental literati flavor and contemporary minimalism, ensuring stability and functionality through Chinese mortise and tenon structure design.

Measuring 1800mm*800mm*750mm, the table's wood and metal components are meticulously crafted using a combination of CNC technology and traditional craftsmanship, resulting in a harmonious fusion of ancient techniques and modern precision.

Inspired by the representative furniture of ancient China, "Flow" combines the timeless appeal of QiaoAn with the practicality of a modern desk, offering users enhanced comfort and functionality. The project, initiated in Shenyang in September 2020, was completed in January 2021 and showcased at the Art Museum of China syid Design Institute.

Recognizing its exceptional design and innovative approach, "Flow" received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, a testament to its practicality, innovation, and seamless integration of traditional and contemporary elements.
