Wei Jingye's "Tiles" Writing Desk

Wei Jingye's "Tiles" furniture is a Chinese style table and chair designed with metal copper material, drawing inspiration from childhood memories of roof tiles and traditional Chinese furniture. The design integrates Chinese patterns and shapes, using cold brown copper as the main material to add a smart modern sense to the strong and simple Chinese semantics. The surface is matched with brown leather cushion, enhancing the product's convenience and comfort.

Mainly made of metal copper materials, the "Tiles" writing desk undergoes cutting, carving, bending, welding, and polishing processes. The edge part of the plate is wrapped in a metal tube, serving as the main connecting structure. The production process is simple, ensuring high efficiency.

With dimensions of 1600mm x 750mm x 780mm for the table and 820mm x 660mm x 900mm for the chair, the "Tiles" writing desk is suitable for a variety of leisure places such as study and living rooms. It is designed for leisure and entertainment, providing a comfortable space for activities like reading, drinking tea, or simply relaxing.

Wei Jingye, along with Zhang Wenyang, Wang Luqing, Zheng Xiaolei, and Zhou Haoyuan, has created a unique and multifunctional piece that embodies the essence of New Chinese style, offering a blend of tradition and modernity.

Wei Jingye's "Tiles" writing desk project commenced in Shenyang in January 2023 and is set to be completed in February 2023. The design takes inspiration from Chinese furniture and tiles, combining ancient Chinese semantics with a modern sense of metal copper material. This fusion ensures a perfect balance between history and contemporary design, emphasizing both comfort and functionality.

Wei Jingye's "Tiles" writing desk was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics that meet professional and industrial requirements. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the product's integration of industry best practices and competent technical features, contributing to a better world.
