CHINA -- /INNOVATION/newswire -- Aug 19, 2021

Wei Jingye's Exquisite Wood Bookshelf, inspired by Chinese furniture, wins prestigious A' Design Award for its practical and innovative design.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Exquisite Wood Bookshelf Design

Wei Jingye's Exquisite Wood Bookshelf, inspired by Chinese furniture, is a multifunctional shelf made with a dignified and simple overall shape, combining square and round elements. The shelf is made of elm with metal connectors, allowing for disassembly and assembly by users, and adding modern semantics while alleviating boredom.

The bookshelf is 1500mm x 4500mm x 1900mm and features a mortise and tenon structure in the solid wood part, carved and milled by mechanical numerical control. The overall design is assembled with metal butterfly screws, making it convenient for personal assembly and long-distance transportation.

Completed in Shenyang in June 2021, the Exquisite Wood Bookshelf was displayed in the museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in June 2021. The design was awarded Iron in A' Furniture Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics.
