Designed in Italy for Officina Endorfino, the Tube glassware collection by Florian Seidl has been honored with the Silver A' Design Award 2025, recognizing its innovative double-wall borosilicate structure, modular stackability, and sustainable approach to contemporary drinkware.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Florian Seidl's Tube glassware collection has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware category for 2025. Conceived as a side project for Officina Endorfino and designed in Italy during the summer of 2024, Tube reimagines the classic drinking glass by drawing inspiration from the origins of borosilicate glass in laboratory test tubes. The result is a double-wall structure that creates a visually striking "floating" inner tube, supported by a transparent outer shell, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional innovation.
The Tube series consists of three stackable tumblers-Tube 20 (200ml), Tube 33 (330ml), and Tube 50 (500ml)-all sharing the same diameter for seamless modularity. This design not only maximizes space efficiency but also allows users to mix and match sizes according to their needs. The glasses are suitable for both hot and cold beverages, and their ergonomic form ensures a comfortable grip. Crafted from durable, temperature-resistant borosilicate glass, Tube is naturally dishwasher safe and available in a range of color combinations, adding versatility and visual interest to any table setting.
Sustainability is at the core of the Tube collection. Borosilicate glass is infinitely recyclable, minimizing environmental impact, while the packaging is made from recycled cardboard. The design process involved extensive research into material properties and production techniques, overcoming the challenge of creating a modular, stackable series that also makes a bold visual statement. Tube's innovative approach and technical excellence have earned it recognition as a top-of-the-line product that blends artistry, functionality, and environmental responsibility.
