Star Glassware Series by Florian Seidl Recognized for Excellence in Tableware Design

Florian Seidl's Star glassware series, a striking new collection of drinking glasses, has earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award 2025 in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware category. Designed as a side project during the summer of 2024 in Italy for Officina Endorfino, Star reimagines the classic tumbler with a modern, flowing silhouette and a unique combination of a rounded base and pointed external ring for added stability. The collection is available in three stackable sizes-200ml, 330ml, and 500ml-and comes in a variety of vibrant colors.

Crafted from borosilicate glass, Star stands out for its high transparency, durability, and temperature resistance, making it suitable for any occasion. The modular design allows for easy stacking and storage, while the dishwasher-safe material ensures convenience for everyday use. Seidl's design process focused on exploring the formal possibilities of glass and creating a visual statement, resulting in a product that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. The packaging, made from recycled cardboard, further underscores the collection's commitment to sustainability.

The Star series was developed through a blend of traditional sketching, 3D modeling, and conceptual research into material properties and user needs. Overcoming the challenge of creating modular, stackable drinkware that also makes a bold visual impact, Seidl's design has been recognized for its technical excellence and artistic innovation. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates Star as a top-of-the-line example of contemporary tableware that brings joy and elegance to every drink.
