Marek Blazucki unveils Kalky Ragged, a reversible pendant lamp, at the Nie!Pokoj exhibition in Åódź, Poland, as a symbol of peace in Ukraine.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marek Blazucki introduces Kalky Ragged, a pendant lamp inspired by self-developed technology and material. The lamp features a flexible spatial structure, allowing for shape transformation with ease, embodying a traditional form with a twist.
Kalky Ragged is a unique lampshade made using self-developed technology, involving manual dyeing, impregnation, sewing, and riveting tracing paper. Its openwork structure offers high flexibility, enabling the inversion of the shade to achieve a completely different lamp form. The reversible design only requires repositioning the light source holder, taking about 10 seconds to switch between shapes.
Measuring 60 x 60 x 30 cm (without cable) and 60 x 60 x 150 cm (with cable), Kalky Ragged stands out as a versatile and visually captivating lighting solution.
The Kalky Ragged project commenced in February 2022, specifically created for the Nie!Pokoj exhibition, advocating for peace in Ukraine. The exhibition, held at the Academic Center of Design in Åódź from 08.03 to 31.05.2022, showcased this symbolic creation. Subsequently, Kalky Ragged became part of the Bozzetti collection.
Blazucki's innovative approach faced challenges in conveying specific emotions through the product, a key aspect for its exhibition debut. The hand-teared edge treatment of the lampshade components successfully captured the desired emotions, resulting in a visually appealing and emotionally evocative product.
Registered with EUIPO No 008433007-0001, the copyrights for Kalky Ragged belong to Marek BÅażucki B&B Design, showcasing the lamp's unique intellectual property.
