Hui House: Unveiling the Fading Heritage of Hui-Style Architecture

Yumeng Li's Hui House is a groundbreaking architectural exhibition book that delves into the iconic Hui-style architecture's axial symmetry layout and section expansion, presenting an immersive miniature Hui house. Each page showcases comprehensive yet digestible information and, when overlaid, transforms into a delicate 3D Hui-style panorama, attracting a broader audience and preserving architectural heritage.

Through Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) and depth-layered 2D images printed onto acetate fiber papers, Hui House allows for a dynamic exploration of architectural details and spatial relationships, offering a unique educational and exhibitive tool for cultural heritage advocacy.

Launched in Jan 2023 in Boston, Hui House was exhibited in HuiZhou Museum and Bengbu Museum, China, offering a self-paced tour through the building and fostering a profound impact on spreading Hui cultural heritage.
