Zhou Leijing Introduces Poly Beat, a Fun and Interactive Music Learning Tool for Children
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhou Leijing introduces Poly Beat, a revolutionary rhythm exercises toy designed to make music education engaging and interactive for preschool children. Inspired by the Orff Schulwerk teaching method, Poly Beat aims to provide a multi-sensory approach to learning music theory through a fun and gamified procedure.
Poly Beat is a unique music interaction tool that allows children to visualize and create music through the use of building blocks. The product, made of injection-moulded plastic, utilizes a camera to identify the color of the blocks, triggering the corresponding music to be played. With dimensions of 140mm*140mm*280mm, each disc measures 130mm*130mm*18mm, providing a compact and portable design for children to enjoy music creation anywhere.
Children can freely assemble the blocks to create their own rhythms and play them using different instruments, including drums, marimba, piano, and guitar. The project, which started in April 2023 and finished in August 2023 in Zhejiang, China, has already garnered attention, winning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2024.
Leijing Zhou, along with the design team, has overcome creative and technical challenges to develop Poly Beat, aiming to provide children with a new and exciting method to learn and appreciate the universal language of music. With Poly Beat, children can now master complex rhythmic patterns effortlessly, making it an invaluable tool for music education.
