Yong Zhang's innovative Sterilized Band-aids address the common safety hazard of allowing bacteria to penetrate wounds by combining disinfection and dressing in one easy step. The individually packaged plasters simplify application, making them ideal for first-time users.

These band-aids are made using medical absorbent cotton, degradable paper, and medical iodine volt, ensuring a low cost and easy processing. Measuring 70mm*50mm*5mm, they provide a convenient, hygienic, and safe solution for wound care.

The project, which began in January 2020 in Fushun, Liaoning Province, China, has received prestigious awards, including the IF Design Talent Award in Germany and the Silver Award of the 9th Taihu Award Design Competition. The product was also exhibited at the 6th China (Wuxi) International Design Expo in November 2020.
