FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Ray Teng Pai introduces 25 Nano, an artistic ambient light instrument that represents the concept of ephemeral and permanence, birth and death. The design, exhibited in March 2020 in Tainan, Taiwan, is a poetic comparison of glass recycling and the rebirth of bubbles. Working with Spring Pool Glass Industrial CO., LTD, 25 Nano aims to build a systematic glass recycle loop for a sustainable future.
25 Nano is an artistic light instrument that embodies the idea of glass recycling and rebirth. Made from blown glass and recycled aluminum, the design uses light to project rainbow-like colors and shadows, creating a dreamy atmosphere around the user. The relatively fragile bubble is used as a medium in contrast with solid glass, representing the constant recycling and rebirth of bubbles.
The instrument, measuring Ã255*216mm, is operated by touching the metal sensor on top of the glass shade to turn on the light. The bubble starts to grow in rhythm, and the refractions of light change accordingly.
Ray Teng Pai, a multidisciplinary designer from Taipei, Taiwan, founded studio Singular Concept in 2014. Specializing in transforming manufacturing processes into forward-thinking solutions, Ray is motivated to create designs that are environment-friendly and bring values and inspiration to life.
