Lin Yi-Hsien, the creative force behind KIMU DESIGN, has been awarded the prestigious Bronze A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award 2025 for the Churros Lighting Collection. Launched in 2024 in Taiwan, the Churros series reimagines the industrial explosion-proof light tube with an Oriental twist, drawing inspiration from the repetitive arrays found in East Asian cultural artifacts such as bamboo blinds, lanterns, and water wheels. The result is an elongated lamp that harmonizes minimalist order with the warmth of wooden strips, creating a visually striking and culturally resonant lighting solution.

The Churros collection stands out for its dual light sources, offering both upward and downward illumination. This design provides even lighting for tabletops while delivering indirect light above, enhancing spatial layering and ambiance. Each lamp is crafted using repurposed materials sourced from its installation environment, minimizing waste and reinforcing the collection's commitment to sustainability.
