"Curious" Console by Robert Jaruszewski Celebrated for Merging Artistic Expression with Functional Design

Robert Jaruszewski's "Curious" console has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Luxury Design Award 2025, highlighting its innovative approach to furniture as both art and utility. Conceived during a stay in Madeira and meticulously developed in Warsaw over nine months, "Curious" draws inspiration from the expressive gestures and features of a young woman, translating her charm and inquisitiveness into a striking bronze form. The console's unique design features sculpted lips on the drawer fronts and a hand base with an upward-pointing finger, symbolizing contemplation and allure.

Crafted entirely from bronze, the console balances visual sophistication with practical function. It offers two drawers and two doors, providing ample storage while serving as a sculptural centerpiece. The drawer fronts are adorned with polished, high-gloss lips, contrasting with the darker bronze patina, while the supporting hand sculpture adds a dynamic interplay of form and symbolism. The index finger, which pivots to allow access to the lower drawer, introduces an interactive element that enhances user engagement and tactile experience.

The creation of "Curious" involved extensive research in material selection, ergonomics, and structural engineering to ensure stability without compromising elegance.
