FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alireza Salimi's Luxorbis, a striking decorative accent lamp, has captured the Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category for 2025. Conceived and crafted in Tehran between September 2024 and January 2025, Luxorbis stands out for its harmonious fusion of organic inspiration and geometric discipline. The lamp features three patterned orbs suspended within a transparent cylindrical glass, evoking the ethereal descent of sunlight through a forest canopy. This design not only delivers a calming, ambient glow but also invites curiosity through its dynamic interplay of light and shadow.
The unique properties of Luxorbis lie in its meticulous attention to detail and the tranquil atmosphere it creates. The glowing orbs, adorned with intricate perforations, cast shifting patterns that encourage users to explore the lamp from different angles. The concealed on/off button beneath the base preserves the lamp's seamless silhouette, while the interplay of warm light and carefully engineered openings fosters a peaceful yet captivating environment. The lamp's design is further enhanced by the illusion of floating radiance, achieved through precision alignment and subtly visible supporting wires.
Luxorbis is realized using advanced laser cutting techniques for the metal orbs, ensuring consistency and optimal light diffusion. The glass casing is molded to exacting standards, maintaining clarity and amplifying the lamp's luminous effects. Technical challenges, such as maintaining vertical light flow and seamless connectivity, were overcome through innovative research and design solutions, including the addition of a glowing ring at the base and a discreet charging system. With dimensions of 120 mm in diameter and 250 mm in height, Luxorbis exemplifies the integration of aesthetic beauty and functional excellence, earning its place among the most respected lighting designs of the year.
