Galaxy Light: A Synthesis of High Tech and Chinese Aesthetics

Geely Auto Group Holding Co., Ltd has unveiled the Galaxy Light, a smart electric coupe that embodies the latest iteration of the ripple aesthetics iconic to the brand. Rooted in Chinese civilization, the design seamlessly blends high tech innovation with Chinese aesthetics, offering a strong departure from the essentially identical EV designs prevalent in the market. The Galaxy Light is set to refresh modern consumers with its unique aesthetic appeal and futuristic features.

The Galaxy Light is a synthesis of high tech and the ripple aesthetic iconic to Geely. It features an extended body, low center of gravity, and a focus on high tech exterior and function integration. The interior design offers intuitive AI interaction and a Chinese romantic style, creating a comfortable and futuristic space for users to enjoy a better life and cultural charm.

Consolidating high tech and Chinese culture, the Galaxy Light offers a cozy space for smart mobility. Its encircling interior layout exudes a transparent sense, while its butterfly doors and large foldable curved display visually echo the high tech exterior. The interior decor includes bluish leather, bamboo fiber carpets, and ripple patterns inspired by the West Lake, seamlessly inviting nature into the tranquil and elegant space.

The Galaxy Light measures 5135 mm x 1980 mm x 1380 mm, and it offers a touch screen supporting diverse functions and six scenario modes. The in-vehicle operating system can automatically switch to the frequently accessed mode via intelligent learning, ensuring safe driving while achieving technological and emotional enjoyment.

The design and development of the Galaxy Light took place in Shanghai, China, from June 2022 to November 2022. The concept car was then exhibited in Hangzhou, China, in February 2023.
