Shanghai, China - Yang Liao, a renowned designer, has unveiled the groundbreaking Finc-B-8031 and Finc-W-247 mushroom varieties, Crab Mushroom and White Jade Mushroom, at the A' Food, Beverage and Culinary Arts Design Award in 2024. These new edible mushroom varieties are the result of years of research and development, utilizing conventional breeding methods, molecular-assisted breeding, and advanced identification techniques.
The development of these new varieties marks a significant breakthrough in the industrial cultivation of Shiitake mushrooms in China. Finc-B-8031 and Finc-W-247 have been meticulously selected to meet market demands for appearance, freshness, taste, and nutritional value, while also considering factors such as cultivation cycle and cost-effectiveness for large-scale cultivation.
Utilizing agricultural organic waste such as crop straw, corn cobs, and sawdust as raw materials, Shanghai Finc Bio-tech has achieved sustainable production of these innovative mushroom varieties. The project, which commenced in 2020 and concluded in 2023, has set a new standard for the cultivation and production of edible mushrooms, emphasizing taste, nutrition, and sustainability.
