Scarsdale Nouveau, a residential remodel project by Artem Kropovinsky, is a testament to curated luxury, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with modern craftsmanship. The project, situated in Scarsdale, NY, commenced in 2021 and involved a comprehensive gut renovation of the entire residence, spanning a total duration of one year.

Melding Scarsdale's classic allure with Western European nuances and Scandinavian minimalism, the design champions curated luxury. At its heart, a tactile kitchen island contrasts with curated art and open-shelving. A standout: ingeniously concealed pantry storage that augments spatial continuity. The bespoke dual-toned kitchen reimagines contemporary craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating heritage with innovation, aesthetics with unmatched functionality.

The kitchen, intricately crafted from oak, was realized in collaboration with a seasoned carpenter from the project's inception. Tadelakt adorned the walls, providing a textured contrast to the reclaimed oak floors. Distinctive cabinet paint types demarcated the pantry and workspace. The countertop, a hand-carved chiseled-edge soapstone, accentuates artisanal craftsmanship. Further enhancing the bespoke nature of the design, suspended brass supports were custom-made to uphold the substantial oak shelving above the island, signifying a marriage of function and aesthetics.
