Introducing Podo, the innovative stick & shoot camera that revolutionizes hands-free photography
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chuntze Cheng introduces Podo, the worldâs first stick & shoot camera that takes hands-free photos to the next level. The inspiration for Podo came from the need for a versatile and easy-to-use camera that eliminates the hassle of cables and allows for seamless group photos. Podo represents the teamâs passion, grit, and the belief that technology should be fun and simple.
Podo Camera is a groundbreaking innovation that allows users to stick it anywhere using its special nano-adhesive backing and control it with an app. The camera boasts a 5 MP sensor, 720p video capabilities, and an 8 GB memory, making it the perfect companion for capturing moments on the go. The custom-designed PCB with a board-mounted camera lens and optimized DFM simplifies the assembly process, ensuring a seamless user experience.
The Podo app provides a live preview stream over Bluetooth, allowing users to set up the perfect shot from any angle. With its compact dimensions and lightweight design, Podo is ideal for travel, selfies, time-lapse photography, and more. The project, which started in June 2015 in San Francisco, USA, was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter and has since been available through various online and retail channels worldwide.
Chuntze Cheng, along with Edmond Lee, Jae Hoon Choi, Samuel Pullman, and John Fitzpatrick, overcame numerous creative and technical challenges to bring Podo to life. The team's dedication and innovative approach have been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, affirming Podo's practicality, innovation, and fulfillment of professional and industrial requirements.
