Unveiling "It's a Metaphor" - A Table Design

Emanuele Di Bacco presents "It's a Metaphor," a thought-provoking table design that challenges societal norms with a touch of irony. Inspired by sumo wrestling and the fight for gender equality, this unique piece aims to spark conversations and raise social awareness.

This furniture product, designed to speak and provoke, stands as a symbol of ethical defiance in our modern times. Crafted using 3D-printing technology and eco-friendly materials, the table features a tempered glass platform and a hand-refined, glazed body with vitreous enamel coating.

Measuring 1800mm in diameter, the table can host up to 10 seaters, making it an ideal addition to spaces that embrace open-mindedness and inclusivity.

Di Bacco's design journey began in December 2019 in London and culminated in February 2020, with plans for serial production and launch in May 2020. The project, which received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, serves as a testament to the designer's commitment to using art and design as tools for social change.

With "It's a Metaphor," Emanuele Di Bacco continues to push the boundaries of conventional design, using humor and irony to address sensitive societal issues and advocate for equality.
