Chunlong Xiang, along with the design team, has created a unique fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology in "The Intelligent Eggshell Lamp." Inspired by the rich history of eggshell porcelain in Jingdezhen, China, the lamp aims to breathe new life into this traditional art form.
The lamp's ergonomic design and intricate hand-carved texture set it apart, providing a modern twist on a classic art. The voice control feature adds a functional and convenient aspect, allowing users to operate the lamp hands-free.
The production process involves over 40 intricate steps, including repeated fettling and carving, as well as triple firing to achieve the desired porcelain thickness of just 1mm. The result is a stunning piece with a maximum diameter of 142mm and a height of 157mm.
