Emmett: The Modern Outdoor Folding Chair

True Places, led by designer Ben Knepler, has unveiled the Emmett Outdoor Folding Chair, a revolutionary product designed to bring comfort and style to outdoor activities. The chair's unique features and thoughtful design aim to redefine the outdoor furniture experience, offering remarkable comfort, lightweight portability, and innovative engineering.

The Emmett features a patent-pending folding design that eliminates sagging and pinching, setting it apart from traditional portable chairs. Crafted with custom TrueFlexTM outdoor fabric and an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, the chair also includes convenient accessories such as bottle openers, bag hooks, and large feet for stability.

Starting in August 2019 in Philadelphia and New York City, the project was completed in July 2021 in Shanghai. Extensive research and development efforts have resulted in a product that addresses the dissatisfaction with current outdoor portable chair options, particularly in terms of comfort and design.

The Emmett Folding Chair has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in Camping Gear and Outdoor Equipment Design, showcasing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
