Thunderstone Technology Limited Unveils the Innovative Moti Chair

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Breaking Traditional Structures with Circular Design

Thunderstone Technology Limited introduces the Moti Chair, a bar chair inspired by ancient Chinese gardens, specifically the arches and moon gates. The circular holes in the design create a broader visual sense, symbolizing barrier-free communication and unobstructed thoughts. The chair integrates aesthetics and structure, utilizing circles to connect support points, effectively balancing forces and reducing material loss. The use of Mortise and tenon joints and full hidden dovetail joint make the joint more stable.

The Moti Chair is made using carbon-fiber composite material designed in the traditional mortise and tenon structure, combined with modern high-strength material made using wood steam bending procedures, enhancing practicality and comfort. The chair's unique properties lie in its innovative design, breaking traditional structures and utilizing circles to connect support points, effectively balancing forces and reducing material loss.

The Moti Chair project commenced in December 2019 and was completed in February 2020 in Shenzhen, China. The design team, including Koma Yang, Yuxiao Dong, and Jiaxin Liang, conducted extensive research involving 200 volunteers from different regions, ages, and genders to ensure optimal comfort and functionality. The Moti Chair was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation in furniture design.
