Spring: Multifunctional Wooden Chair with Transformative Capabilities

Navid Ghandili introduces "Spring," a multifunctional wooden chair designed to reclaim space in small living areas. Inspired by the need for compact furniture in crowded cities, this chair transforms with a simple push, offering the flexibility of two chairs and a table or standalone stands for events. Crafted from oak wood with built-in compression springs, "Spring" combines modern design with practical functionality, adhering to ergonomic standards for user comfort.

The project, initiated in January 2020 in Tehran, Iran, culminated in February 2020. Ghandili's research prioritized maximizing functionality in minimal space, addressing the challenges of comfort and utility in compact environments. The design, awarded the prestigious Golden A' Furniture Design Award in 2021, reflects Ghandili's commitment to innovative, space-saving solutions.

Navid Ghandili, an Iranian architect and designer, holds a master's degree in architecture from the University of Tehran. His work emphasizes conceptual architecture, blending knowledge, creativity, and art to create impactful designs. With a focus on transcending boundaries through art and design, Ghandili's creations continue to inspire and elevate spaces beyond imagination.
