Pablo Vidiella's Hana Chair is an elegant, daring, and cutting-edge piece of furniture inspired by plant nature. The chair, resembling a flower, embraces the backrest and the seat, inviting users to interact with it in a natural way. Crafted from solid wood, such as charcoal ash, the chair's attractive shape and warmth of the material create a tranquil and pleasurable experience for the user.
The choice of solid wood material, machined three-dimensionally using a 5-axis CNC milling router, combines technology and craftsmanship to bring the chair to life. With dimensions of 560mm in width, 550mm in depth, and 800mm in height, the Hana Chair weighs 6.5kg, making it a lightweight yet sturdy piece of furniture.
Designed and completed in Madrid in March 2022, the Hana Chair interacts with observers in a natural way, drawing inspiration from the curves and forms present in nature. The chair's unique design and realization technology set it apart from traditional furniture, offering a blend of art, science, and technology.
