Discover the innovative Malmo table, a versatile and sustainable solution for modern interiors, designed to meet the diverse needs of users.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Liubov Borisovskaia introduces the Malmo table, a versatile and sustainable modular table designed to expand the variability of users managing its structure with useful functions, such as height adjustment and customizable drawers. Inspired by the clean lines of Scandinavian furniture from the 1950s and 1960s, the Malmo desk is a long-term investment in interior design, combining functionality and aesthetics.
The Malmo table stands out with its unique combination of ergonomics and storage functions, catering to the diverse needs of both children and adults. Crafted from high-strength ash wood, the table features a frame with a connecting shelf for installing a children's table top or an adult-sized one. The deep work surface and wire hole in the tabletop, along with the hidden Blum Bluemotion full extension slides in the drawers, add to its practicality.
Measuring (1200/1500/1800) x 700 x (600/760) mm, the Malmo table is a solid wood desk designed to enhance any modern interior. Its extendable countertop and additional storage shelf make it ideal for various spaces, while the range of finishes and colors allows for customization to suit any interior color scheme.
Designed and realized in Saint-Petersburg, the Malmo table project started in March 2020 and was completed in July 2022. The design is a result of extensive research and fine-tuning to achieve a balance between aesthetic lightness and functionality, overcoming creative and technical challenges along the way.
Liubov Borisovskaia, a multidisciplinary designer researcher from Saint-Petersburg, Russian Federation, is known for creating original modular solutions for home furnishing. Her philosophy revolves around "modular objects that adapt to the space and the needs of the consumer," earning her recognition at international exhibitions and design biennales. The Malmo table has been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, highlighting its practical and innovative design.
