The Dress Your Chair project aims to revolutionize the way we perceive furniture by creating a closer emotional connection with our belongings. The removable upholstery allows for easy assembly and disassembly, providing a sustainable solution to outdated or damaged upholstery.

Utilizing advanced production techniques, the upholstery series features foam undergarments and three coverings, ensuring a comfortable and customizable seating experience. The innovative designs incorporate invisible zippers and effortless installation, making it convenient to change, wash, and ship the upholstery.

Yumeng Gai, a distinguished furniture designer, has successfully merged fashion and furniture, offering a unique perspective on interior decor. The project, which commenced in December 2019 and concluded in December 2020, represents a culmination of extensive research and creative exploration.

Yumeng Gai, a visionary furniture designer hailing from Harbin, China, has been recognized for her outstanding work with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021.
