FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pinch Chair: Redefining Traditional Seating

Chung Ping-Lun's Medium2 Studio introduces the Pinch Chair, a modern reinterpretation of the traditional plastic chair. Crafted using plastic injection molding, this unibody chair boasts a seamless and harmonious appearance, offering a visually dynamic and intuitive design that is both stylish and practical. Measuring 549 mm x 558 mm x 822 mm, the chair is stackable for easy storage and can be flipped over onto a table to facilitate cleaning of floors by restaurant staff.

The Pinch Chair project, initiated in January 2021 and completed in May 2021 in Taiwan, was inspired by the need for practical, yet aesthetically pleasing seating solutions. Medium2 Studio's research revealed common expectations and requirements from restaurant owners, leading to the creation of the Pinch Chair. The chair's design allows for stacking during storage and stable placement on a dining table when flipped upside down, catering to the convenience of restaurant staff when cleaning the floor at closing time.

Recognizing the innovative design and exceptional creativity, the Pinch Chair was honored with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023, a testament to its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
