The collection, created by Astro's co-founder James Bassant and senior designer Riley Sanders, draws inspiration from the mechanical perfection of an orrery and the fluted detailing of ancient Greek ionic pillars. The designs, including the io Pendant, Halftone, and Orb, embody a fusion of art, technology, and science, offering a new era of designer lighting.

The Capsule Collection Volume 01 showcases the io Pendant, Halftone, and Orb luminaires, each boasting unique properties and a design led approach. Consistent with Astro's creative ethos, the luminaires are not only functional but also visually strong, with a delicacy that quietly complements any design scheme. The collection honors the DNA of core Astro products while confidently holding its own in any space, making a bold statement with their timeless quality.

Each luminaire in the collection presents a remarkable realization of technology, with the Orb featuring moving parts that are robust yet offer a sense of lightness, the io Pendant utilizing gravity-fed extrusion to create a ribbed cylindrical form, and the Halftone focusing on a simple form of a circle with an intricate pattern delicately etched on translucent acrylic.
