Pouladvar's Black Hole: A Fusion of Music and Technology

Pouladvar, a renowned product design team, has unveiled their latest creation, Black Hole, a multifunctional guitar inspired by hard rock and metal music. The design team, with over 10 years of product design experience and 19 years of electric guitar playing, has combined their expertise to create a unique fusion of music and technology.

The Black Hole guitar is designed to embody the essence of hard rock and metal music, drawing inspiration from iconic styles such as Motorhead, Metallica, and Slayer, as well as guitars like the Jackson Kelly, Jackson Randy Rhodes, and Gibson Explorer. What sets Black Hole apart is its incorporation of cutting-edge technology, including a liquid crystal display on the fretboard and braille signs behind the guitar neck to assist visually impaired individuals.

Utilizing advanced design realization technology, the team used CATIA software for production optimization and KeyShot software for rendering, resulting in a visually stunning and highly functional guitar. The guitar also features a controller on its body, allowing the player to instantly change the monitor's images, enhancing the overall performance experience.

Measuring 1118mm in height, 423mm in width, and 93mm in depth, the Black Hole guitar offers a unique interactive experience. The liquid crystal display on the fretboard provides various modes for learning, practicing, and performing. Musicians can save data in the guitar's memory, learn from the display, practice guitar patterns, and display images associated with music sensation during performances.

The Black Hole project, which commenced in November 2018 and concluded in March 2019, was a result of extensive research and creative challenges. The design team aimed to break away from traditional guitar designs, integrating 80s music styles with contemporary technology, resulting in a truly innovative product.

Pouladvar's Black Hole has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2019, highlighting its exceptional creativity, technical prowess, and remarkable innovation in the field of musical instruments design.
