Zanini de Zanine, a renowned designer from Rio de Janeiro, has unveiled the Especie revolving armchair, a contemporary piece inspired by the creative force of Brazilian modern design from the 70's. This armchair is a testament to sustainability, crafted from reclaimed demolition wood and designed to adapt to both indoor and outdoor environments.

The Especie armchair is a versatile and resilient piece of furniture, featuring a swivel base made of steel and a seat upholstered with nautical fabric. The design is a nod to the best of Brazilian design from the 70's, incorporating the defining characteristics of the era while embracing modern sustainability practices.

With its fixed base and swivel seat, the Especie armchair offers ergonomic comfort to users. The project, which began in November 2021 and concluded in February 2022, was a result of Zanini de Zanine's passion for the materials and features of 70's Brazilian furniture, as well as his commitment to sustainability and the reuse of demolition wood.

Zanini de Zanine's Especie revolving armchair has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category for 2022. This award celebrates the design's outstanding creativity, technical skill, and contribution to improving quality of life through innovative and sustainable design practices.
