Nicola Mondini Unveils Hera, a Concept Sailing Yacht Celebrating the Legacy of J-Class Vessels

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hera: A Futuristic Interpretation of a Sailing Yacht

Nicola Mondini introduces Hera, a concept sailing yacht inspired by the iconic J-Class vessels of the 1930s, designed to compete in the America’s Cup. This futuristic interpretation celebrates the peak racers through innovative materials and shapes, paying homage to the rich heritage of these historic sailboats.

The innovative deck, meticulously controlled hull surfacing, and advanced carbon composite construction are the standout features of Hera. The yacht's design seamlessly integrates support for the steering wheels and offers an unparalleled sailing experience, combining top racing performance with spacious living spaces on deck and inside.

With a length overall of 48 meters, maximum beam of 8.5 meters, and a sail area of 920 square meters, Hera is a true testament to modern yacht design and technology. The project was privately realized between February and May 2019 in Shanghai and Munich, showcasing Mondini's dedication to pushing the boundaries of yacht design.
