Ricardo da Silva, a renowned Product Designer, has unveiled the brand identity design for Oliveira Almeida, a law firm based in Curitiba, Brazil. The design draws inspiration from the daily responsibilities of lawyers, aiming to symbolize order and nobility in the legal profession.
The logo combines a necktie representing nobility and a paper clip symbolizing order, reflecting the firm's mission to bring effective solutions to its clients. Crafted in solid brass, the tie-shaped clip serves as a practical representation of the brand's values.
Designed using the Golden Ratio rule and delivered in RGB, CMYK, and Pantone colors, the project was realized using Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo to ensure high-quality vector and photo montage. The tie-shaped clip measures 8mm in width and 30mm in height, adding a touch of elegance to the brand's stationery.
Da Silva's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the visual identity guidelines provided, ensuring that all materials adhere to the brand's standards. The color palette, derived from the etymology of the firm's name, incorporates a range of green and earthy tones, symbolizing peace, victory, and the firm's geographical roots.
Speaking about the design, Da Silva highlighted the challenge of bringing unexpected symbols from the legal environment to life while maintaining a classic feel.
