Han Mei's chair design, inspired by the traditional Chinese instrument Erhu, seamlessly blends cultural heritage with modern aesthetics. The chair's back leg emulates the Ming-style hoof-shaped leg, offering a tribute to Ming-style furniture while interpreting traditions in a new light.
The chair's structure is elegantly simple, comprising only two parts: the seat surface and legs. Crafted from curved plywood, the chair's three-dimensional seating space is designed to perfectly fit the human body, showcasing a harmonious fusion of form and function.
The chair's production involves pressing curved plywood into a premade mold, with the surface featuring ash wood and walnut veneering. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable seating experience, aligning with the natural contours of the human body.
