Introducing Ritmo, a dining table designed by Linda Martins, inspired by the rhythm of life and crafted during quarantine to create affective memories for families.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Linda Martins, an interior and furniture designer from Nova Lima, Brazil, has unveiled Ritmo, a stunning dining table designed to be the focal point of family gatherings. The table, inspired by the rhythm of life, features legs that simulate movement, creating a beautiful and unique rhythm. Crafted with Scandinavian inspiration and modernist style, Ritmo is a testament to emotional design and creating lasting memories.
During the quarantine, Linda and her team used their furniture extensively, and the dining table became the heart of their home, where they gathered to share meals, laughter, and love. This experience inspired the design of Ritmo, with the goal of creating a table that embodies movement and emotional connection.
Measuring 220mm x 1100mm x 750mm, Ritmo is made from noble wood with a varnished finish, and features a brass bar that serves as an equilibrium line, creating different shapes from every angle. The design can be customized in various sizes and colors to suit different spaces, from dining rooms to offices and vanity rooms.
The project commenced in October 2021 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and was completed in January 2022 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The design process involved overcoming technical challenges, particularly in creating the unique legs that embody movement while providing sturdy support for the table.
Linda Martins, a 35-year-old designer, draws inspiration from her family, travels, and affective memories. Her work is characterized by a blend of contemporary and Scandinavian styles, with a touch of playfulness. Ritmo has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, celebrating its well-designed, practical, and innovative nature that meets professional and industrial requirements.
