Giovanni Agliottone introduces "Cinque," a revolutionary sofa design inspired by the need for a light, removable, and non-bulky furniture piece. The innovative interlocking assembly system allows for effortless assembly and disassembly without the use of screws or nails, making it a versatile and practical addition to any space.

Constructed using birch plywood coupled with Fenix, the sofa's numerical control processing ensures a sturdy structure, while the cushions are made from eco-leather and/or natural handmade fabrics. With dimensions of 205x88x73 cm, the sofa can be effortlessly disassembled to a compact 205x88x10 cm, making it ideal for transport and storage.

The Cinque sofa was initially conceptualized in 2013 for a design competition and has since been showcased at prestigious events such as the Fuori Salone del Mobile in Milan and the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna. In 2021, the design was revitalized in collaboration with a local carpentry, emphasizing its timeless appeal and adaptability.

Recognized for its innovative approach, the Cinque sofa was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022. This accolade celebrates its exceptional creativity and resourcefulness, showcasing the fusion of art, science, design, and technology to enhance the quality of life.
