Fingal, a modular surfaces design by Panayiotis Stelikos, redefines the importance of well-considered design in human-made environments, enabling people to reconnect with nature through integrated design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Panayiotis Stelikos presents Fingal, an original pattern design applied on modular surfaces, inspired by the force of the sea and the balance of natural patterns. The furniture pieces and bookcase, along with the color tones and materials, subtly transfer the impression of a rocky scenery to the interior, redefining the importance of well-considered design in human-made environments.
Representing the core meaning of integrated design, Fingal unifies surfaces and materials, achieving a soothing effect of aesthetically considered design. The wall cladding is made of painted wood cut with laser, while the bookcase is created from a metal sheet. The modular carpet covering the floor consists of printed and patterned carpet tiles that can be placed independently.
The project started in December 2019 and was completed in February 2020. The design team, including Panayiotis Stelikos, Constantinos Christodoulou, and Stephanie Demetriou, overcame creative and technical challenges to achieve the detailed craftsmanship required for the project.
As a winner of the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, Fingal stands out for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
