Wavy: A Nature-Inspired Writing Desk

Agne Balke introduces Wavy, a writing desk inspired by the tranquility of nature. The desk's design draws from the peaceful energy of water, with a top that mimics the effect of ripples created by a water drop. This unique piece serves as a multi-functional desk, incorporating elements of meditation and relaxation into its design.

The Wavy desk is crafted using a combination of traditional techniques and modern machinery. The main form is made from Corian, a non-porous artificial stone, allowing for the creation of curved, rounded, and solid forms. The desk's drawer is made from oak veneer, adding a touch of natural warmth to the design.

Measuring 1100mm in width, 600mm in depth, and 790mm in height, the Wavy desk offers a spacious yet compact workspace for various activities, from working with a laptop to engaging in creative pursuits such as painting with watercolors.

Designed and produced in Vilnius, Lithuania, the Wavy desk reflects the designer's commitment to sustainability and durability. Its non-porous material makes it resistant to water and easily renewable, offering a versatile and long-lasting addition to any home office.

Recognized for its exceptional creativity and ingenious design, the Wavy desk was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022.
