Discover Yupro, a collection of mobile furniture designed for urban nomads seeking new freedoms, free from conventional values and geographical constraints.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yupro is a series of mobile furniture designed for urban nomads seeking new freedoms, free from conventional values and geographical constraints. This collection celebrates the development of a mobile trend by creating reliable products that cater to future mobile populations. Made primarily from pine, the series includes tables, benches, stools, and shelves, offering the freedom to call the entire world home.
The dining table, measuring 800mm in width, 800mm in length, and 730mm in height, is just one example of the convenient and portable nature of the Yupro series. The design team, including Wiliam Wang, Yaxi Liu, and Qingyu Hu, worked on this project from December 2018 to May 2018 at TheFutureLab.
Yupro is a speculation on furniture in China in 2023, designed to simplify the lives of future urban nomads. By stitching together the interior components of a suitcase, users can create the furniture they need anytime, anywhere. The collection is a response to the growing trend of mobility, offering a portable solution for today's nomads.
Li Jiaxiang, the designer behind Yupro, is a product design student at the Beijing Institute of Technology. The series was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that contribute to quality of life improvements.
