The Orca eVTOL, designed by Soma Varga, is set to transform emergency medical services with its innovative electric propulsion and advanced aerodynamic design, reducing response times and operational costs.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Orca eVTOL, designed by Soma Varga, is a groundbreaking vertical take-off and landing aircraft aimed at revolutionizing emergency medical services. With the use of electric propulsion and advanced aerodynamics, the Orca eVTOL is poised to significantly reduce response times, operational costs, and increase safety in critical medical situations. Equipped with seven independent electric engines and a carbon composite airframe, the Orca eVTOL can transport patients at higher speeds with a range of up to 120 km, all while promoting a sustainable future with its lithium-based battery technology.
Utilizing high-performance carbon fiber composite materials commonly found in the aerospace industry, the Orca eVTOL's integrated electric motors have a proven background in motorsport, ensuring reliability and efficiency. With a wingspan of 12.45m, length of 8.1m, and an overall height of 2.4m, the Orca eVTOL is designed to meet the stringent performance requirements for emergency medical operations, offering a safe and easy-to-operate aircraft architecture.
The design process, which took six months from inception to completion, was led by Soma Varga and the design team based in Pécs, Hungary. The Orca eVTOL's innovative approach has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in Aerospace and Aircraft Design in 2021, highlighting its outstanding contribution to the field and its potential to improve the quality of life through technological innovation.
