Eckhard Beger's Cubus armchair, a modern reinterpretation of the classic armchair, is set to debut in Geneva in the 1st quarter of 2021, offering a unique blend of Bauhaus-inspired design and contemporary aesthetics.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Eckhard Beger introduces Cubus, a striking armchair that draws inspiration from the minimalist creations of the Bauhaus period, featuring a tilted cubic structure for a contemporary touch. This innovative piece, along with a matching footstool, marks the inception of a new furniture collection, comprising a stool, a sofa, and a side table.
The Cubus armchair's distinctive design is characterized by a tilted cube nested within a straight cube, creating a visually intriguing yet comfortable seating experience. Crafted from wood, the structure can be finished with colored lacquer or silver leaf, while the cushions offer a range of color combinations in leather or fabric for maximum comfort.
With meticulous attention to detail, the construction of Cubus involved the assessment of various approaches, ultimately opting for a traditional wood structure for its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. The footstool, also a part of the collection, complements the armchair and can be used independently.
Measuring 860mm in height, 900mm in width, and 700mm in depth, the armchair's dimensions, along with those of the footstool, ensure a harmonious blend of form and function. The project, initiated in June 2020, is a testament to Eckhard Beger's commitment to delivering innovative and aesthetically captivating designs.
Eckhard Beger's meticulous research and dedication to color, finish, and material combinations have resulted in a versatile armchair that appeals to a diverse range of potential customers. The Cubus armchair, with its asymmetric yet inviting design, promises to elevate the sitting experience, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary furniture.
