Heitor Lobo Campos unveils Pluto, a sleek task lamp inspired by telescopes and designed for precision lighting in the office, study, or bedroom.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Heitor Lobo Campos introduces Pluto, a task lamp designed to bring a touch of style and functionality to any workspace. Inspired by telescopes, Pluto features a compact, aerodynamic cylinder orbited by an elegant handle perched over an angled tripod base, allowing for precise positioning. The lamp's soft-but-focused light is ideal for writers, illustrators, or anyone particular about their lighting.
Manufactured by Gantri using corn-based plastics and 3D printing technology, Pluto is not only innovative but also eco-friendly. The lamp is equipped with a dimmable 9W A19 LED bulb, offering soft-white light with 90+ CRI and 800 lumens, and it is operated by a switch attached to its power cord.
Standing at 317.5 mm in height, with a depth of 254 mm and a width of 247.65 mm, Pluto weighs 1.3 kg and is designed for use with a 100-120V US 2-prong plug. The electrical components are certified by SGS for UL and CSA, ensuring safety and quality. The lamp was developed in collaboration with Gantri's engineering team and is manufactured at the Gantri Factory in San Leandro, California.
Heitor Lobo Campos explains, "Pluto keeps the focus firmly on style. Its form was inspired by telescopes, but instead, it seeks to focus on the earth instead of the stars. Made with 3D printing utilizing corn-based plastics, it is unique, not only for using 3D printers in an industrial fashion but also for being eco-friendly."
Pluto was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its remarkable design and impact on the world of lighting products and fixtures.
