Junjie Lee's Innovative Shower Head Design Promotes Water Conservation and Awareness
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Junjie Lee introduces "50 Liters," a revolutionary shower head design aimed at cultivating awareness of water conservation. The shower head features a real-time feedback system that visually represents the amount of water used during a shower, encouraging users to be mindful of their consumption. The design incorporates a clear plastic storage tank in the middle, providing a visual indicator of water usage, with a marked volume that, when filled, indicates that the consumption has exceeded fifty liters.
The shower head, made of refined copper, effectively communicates the need for reasonable control of bathing time, promoting environmental consciousness and resource preservation. The incorporation of a visual indicator serves as a reminder to users to make a change in their water usage habits, contributing to sustainable living practices.
With dimensions measuring 85mm in width, 38mm in depth, and 240mm in height, the 50 Liters shower head offers a practical and innovative solution to promote water conservation and environmental protection.
Junjie Lee, along with design team member Jingru Zhang, overcame technical challenges to ensure the accurate reflection of bathing consumption through continuous prototype testing. The design, which does not require electricity, operates seamlessly by providing real-time feedback to users without disrupting their shower experience.
The concept project commenced in June 2019 in Guangzhou and was completed at Guangzhou Huashang College in January 2020. The innovative design was showcased at Guangzhou Huashang College, China, in January 2020, garnering attention for its impactful approach to water conservation.
Junjie Lee's dedication to sustainable design and social responsibility is evident in the 50 Liters shower head, which serves as a testament to the designer's commitment to creating products that contribute to a better world.
