The 30s Wine Glass by Saara Korppi is a high-quality, free-blown glassware inspired by the element of water in Finnish nature, offering a unique drinking experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Saara Korppi, a Finnish glassblower and designer, draws inspiration from the interplay of water and glass to create the 30s Wine Glass. Crafted using old Venetian glass blowing techniques, each piece is unique and features a special flattened shape with inner-blown arches, allowing light to reflect from different angles when filled with liquid.
This elegant wine glass, with a minimum width of 100mm and height of 220mm, is designed not only for white wine but also for other beverages, offering a perfect grip and a delightful sensory experience. The production of these exceptional glasses began in Osterbybruk, Sweden, in 2017 and has continued in Helsinki, with notable exhibitions in Helsinki, Venice, and the Finnish Glass Museum.
Recipient of the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, the 30s Wine Glass is a testament to Saara Korppi's dedication to mastering Venetian glassblowing techniques and her commitment to creating glassware that enhances the enjoyment of drinking.
