Prevelo Bikes introduces the Zulu Two Heir, a 16-inch hardtail mountain bike designed to instill confidence in young riders on trails, featuring a unique airfork and forgiving geometry.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prevelo Bikes proudly presents the Zulu Two Heir, a groundbreaking 16-inch hardtail mountain bike tailored for young riders. Inspired by observing children learning to ride on trails, the Zulu Two Heir aims to boost young riders' confidence with forgiving geometry and easy-to-use brakes. The long wheelbase and slack geometry make it an ideal choice for kids still mastering trail riding, while the specially designed airfork ensures a smooth and stable ride.
The Zulu Two Heir is the first of its kind, featuring a trail-capable design for very young riders. The innovative airfork, named Heir 16, is specifically crafted for 16-inch bicycles, incorporating carbon fiber and aluminum construction to minimize weight while maintaining durability. The frame, made of 6061 alloy, is designed with a low bottom bracket and short crank lengths to keep the rider low to the ground while ensuring good pedaling ergonomics.
Equipped with a 60mm travel airfork with HM Carbon Fiber and AL6061 lowers, the Zulu Two Heir boasts hydraulic disc brakes and a wheelbase of 790mm. The project, initiated in 2017 in California, saw prototyping completion in April 2018, with the first production bikes available for shipment to young riders in the United States by November 2018. The design underwent continued refinement through December 2021, solidifying its position as a trailblazing addition to Prevelo Bikes' lineup.
