Wen Liu's Deng Long Ji Redefines Wine Packaging with New Oriental Aesthetics
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Wen Liu has unveiled "Deng Long Ji," a revolutionary alcoholic beverage packaging that fuses Chinese culture with wine. Inspired by Zhang Qian's introduction of wine to China, this design reshapes wine with Chinese fashion, creating an oriental era of wine with cultural confidence and continuous innovation.
Lantern, a symbol deeply rooted in Chinese culture, serves as the main inspiration for Deng Long Ji. The design reinvents the traditional "Deng long" with bold new Chinese elements, infusing it with oriental charm and novelty.
The box, crafted from decorating firing acrylic, and the bottle, made of decorating firing glass, showcase technical excellence and attention to detail. The dimensions of the box and bottle are meticulously designed to exude elegance and sophistication.
From the bottle shape to the gift box, Deng Long Ji is a testament to brand culture. The bottle's evolution from lanterns provides a rational deconstruction and visual delight. The exquisite Chinese window flower patterns on the bottle cap add rhythm and specificity to the design, symbolizing prosperity and celebration.
Wen Liu and the design team, including Qiumin Chen, Weijun Liu, and Weijie Kang, embarked on this project in Shenzhen, China, from August 2019 to January 2020. The team delved deep into Chinese aesthetics, leveraging the auspicious culture of lanterns to create a wine with new oriental aesthetics.
Deng Long Ji has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the design's outstanding creativity and ingenious fusion of art, science, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements.
