Yinyun: A Fusion of Art and Science

Fabcraft Design Lab introduces Yinyun, an extraordinary art installation, inspired by the natural phenomenon of electromagnetic fields. Comprising 85 distinct 3D printed ceramic units, the installation showcases a gradient effect, achieved through generative design algorithms. The use of recycled materials adds a sustainable touch to this innovative creation.

The project, initiated in late 2018, culminated in December 2019, and has found its permanent home at the Taipower D/S ONE exhibition hall in Taipei, Taiwan. The installation not only serves as a visual spectacle but also offers positive route guidance within the exhibition hall, engaging visitors from various angles.

Yinyun represents a seamless blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern digital fabrication techniques, exemplifying Fabcraft Design Lab's commitment to pushing the boundaries of art and technology.
