He Qi & Xinbo Wang's innovative Modular Sanitation Tool Room Series is reshaping urban infrastructure, offering a flexible and multifunctional solution for sanitation workers, set to launch in Shenzhen by the end of 2021.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
He Qi & Xinbo Wang's Modular Sanitation Tool Room Series is a groundbreaking concept in urban infrastructure, inspired by the need to provide sanitation workers with a more humane working environment. Composed of modular spatial elements, this series offers flexibility and expansibility, serving as a separate sanitation room with various functions or combining into a multifunctional small public area. The design aims to improve the modernized, intelligent, and humanized urban facility system, integrating small public lavatories and garbage sorting and disposal systems.
The main structure is constructed using steel, with a veneer made of fluorocarbon painted aluminum plate to resist corrosion and scratches. The interior design maximizes vertical space, enhancing the utilization of the room. The series covers an area of about 10 square meters and is designed to be prefabricated in the factory, then placed in urban areas for public use.
Starting in Shenzhen in April 2020, the project has already seen some products put into use by December 2020, with over one hundred scheduled for launch by the end of 2021. The series has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Street and City Furniture Design category, highlighting its practicality, innovation, and fulfillment of professional and industrial requirements.
