TIST introduces the 2030 Messaging Gift, a series of gift cards designed to resonate with the culturally attuned generations in their 20s and 30s. These cards, available at all brand stores of CJ Group in Korea from May to December 2018, aim to convey messages of encouragement, praise, comfort, and congratulations tailored to resonate with this demographic. The project was inspired by the culture and lifestyle of these generations, with the intention of making empathy the standard of this era.
Aiming to provide a medium for self-expression and convey heartfelt messages, the 2030 Messaging Gift stands out with its unique three-dimensional effect achieved through the layering of different colors and materials. The cards, measuring 50mm*90mm*0.03mm and available in 10 types, were designed to offer a sense of space and luxury through strong color arrangements.
The project faced the challenge of selecting messages that would meet public standards as commercial gift cards, while metaphorically expressing the intended message. However, the project successfully overcame this challenge, with the 2030 Messaging Gift winning the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach.
